The Glories of the Nine Patch Block

Can I just start by saying that I love Nine Patches. Truely, I do. Let's just take a little walk through my own personal quilting history, shall we?

I'm a little shocked. I had forgotten some of those. That's 10 Nine Patch based quilts in the past 7 or so years. So, is it any wonder that I've choosen the Nine Patch for our next block swap? Here's some tutorials, links and whatnot to get you started. Make any sort of Nine Patch that strikes your fancy- traditional, wonky, disappearing, whatever. I'm excited to see what you all come up with.

Well, did that make you as excited about Nine Patches as I am? Email any questions to magicvalleyquilts@gmail.com.

May Meeting Recap

1. We have some lovely new fliers to post around town(s) to hopefully draw in new members. Let me know if you would like some to post.

2. Our next block for the block exchange is Nine Patch. Big detailed post about that soon.

 3. We toured Jenele's lovely sewing spaces. Thank you again, Jenele, for letting us invade your home.

4. There were some amazing show and tells. Here's just a quick sample.

Things I forgot to talk about at the meeting, so we will definitely be discussing them next time-

1. Quilt Guild tshirts?

2. Guild picnic in the park with our families.

Our next meeting is June 8th. I hope to see everyone there!

Just a quick reminder (because I've already posted this on Facebook and sent out an email and I'm getting tired of typing the same thing), our next meeting is this Saturday, May 11th. We meet, as usual, at The Quilt Barn at 6 pm. Check your email or the Facebook page for more details! Email magicvalleyquilts@gmail.com if you have any questions.
